Prayer in W.P.No.23476 of 2018: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamaus or any other Writ directing the second respondent not to provide a Secondary electricity connection to the respondents 4,5,6 for the premises at No.135/2A, New Manali Express Road, Chennai-600014.

O R D E R
The writ petition in W.P.No.11251 of 2019 is in respect of seeking service connection from the Electricity Board for the patta land of the petitioner herein. Though, the application for service connection was made long back due to objection raised by one Nilofer Begum, but the authorities are not in a position to dispose of the request. Meanwhile, the objector has also approached this Court for filing the writ petition in W.P.No.23476 of 2018, objecting the respondent from consider the request of the present petitioner Fathimuthu Zohara in W.P.No.11251 of 2019.
In the counter filed by the Assistant Engineer, it is specifically stated that, due to the pendency of the W.P.No.23476 of 2018, the application of the petitioner and the objection of the Nilofer Begum could not be processed. In the light of the said statement made in the affidavit, the Assistant Engineer herein is permitted to consider the application of the petitioner dated 14.08.2018 and the objection made by Nilofer Begum on 17.08.2018 and pass orders within a period of four weeks.
The respondent shall after notice to both the petitioners, Fathimuthu Zohara in W.P.No.11251 of 2019 and Nilofer Begum in W.P.No.23476 of 2018 conduct field visit and if necessary take the assistance of the Revenue Officials to pass appropriate orders.
with the above directions, both the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
