PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, seeking Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose the appeal made in No.K1/6933/2020 dated 16.3.2020 on the file of the first respondent herein as expeditiously as possible.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 16.03.2020, being aggrieved by the order passed by the District Revenue Officer, Kancheepuram dated 25.11.2019.

2.The petitioner seeks patta with respect to subject property and the same was rejected by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpattu, by an order dated 11.10.2018 and it was further confirmed by the order of the District Revenue Officer, Kancheepuram dated 25.11.2019. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed revision/appeal before the first respondent on 16.03.2020 and the same is pending. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3.Heard Mr.Sankarasubbu, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.K.Parameshwaran, learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this case, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the revision petition filed by the petitioner on 16.03.2020, strictly in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The first respondent shall issue notice to the interested parties and give them an opportunity before passing final orders. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with a copy of the petition dated 16.03.2020 and a copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
