Writ Petition filed under section 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to call the petitioner for counselling under the special quota reserved for Differently Abled Persons(Ortho) and select and admit her in BSc Agriculture Course in the first respondent University. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to call the petitioner for counselling under the special quota reserved for Differently Abled Persons(Ortho), select and admit her in BSc Agriculture Course in the first respondent University.

2.The petitioner being a physically disabled person, she has come forward to file this writ petition seeking the counselling for the special quota reserved for above said purpose in BSc Agricultural Course in the first respondent University. 3.When the matter was taken up for admission, the learned counsel for the first respondent submitted that all the seats are filled up and one seat is available under disabled person quota in BSc Agricultural Course at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Valavachanur, Thiruvannamalai. Based upon the said submission, the matter was adjourned today.

4.On instructions, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner would take the said course at Thiruvannamalai. It is also not in dispute, even on merit the petitioner is entitled to get the seat. Therefore, the offer of seat for BSc Agricultural Course at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Valavachanur, Thiruvannamalai cannot be termed as a concession.

5.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the first respondent to give admission to the petitioner under disabled person quota in BSc Agricultural Course at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Valavachanur, Thiruvannamalai,

considering the fact that the petitioner is suffering from 75% of disability.

6.The Dean of the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Valavachanur, Thiruvannamalai is directed to take appropriate steps to provide hostel accommodation to the petitioner. 7.In the event of any vacancy which might arise at either Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai, the first respondent shall accommodate the petitioner in the said place since as already stated above, she is otherwise eligible to be accommodated. 8.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected M.P. is also closed.
