By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner herein has challenged the charge memo dated 21.06.2017, whereby the petitioner has been levelled with certain charges under Rule 17(b) of Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. Pending the writ petition, this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Court, by an interim order dated 12.06.2018, had granted liberty to the respondent to proceed with the departmental enquiry. However, the final orders in the enquiry was directed to be kept in abeyance.
3. Today, when the matter was called, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that pursuant to the interim orders of this Court, enquiry has been completed and final orders are yet to be passed. The learned counsel would further submit that he would be satisfied if the final orders are passed by the disciplinary authority.
4. In the light of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the disciplinary authority of the first respondent to pass necessary orders, pursuant to the enquiry conducted on the charge memo dated 03.08.2017, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The present writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
