Mr.Era.Premnath, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2
to effect change of names in the records of computerized 'A' Register of Anaicut Village and Chitta maintained by the office of the 2nd respondent in respect of the land measuring to an extent of 0.58.0 Hectares comprised in Survey No.261/2D of Anaicut Village to the petitioners, by incorporating their names in the place of 'Arunthathiyar Colony' and consequently, direct the respondents 1 and 2 to issue computerized 'A' Register of Anaicut Village and Chitta in respect of the land measuring to an extent of 0.58.0 Hectares comprised in Survey No.261/2D of Anaicut Village.
3.Mr.C.P.Siva Mohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners' names have been incorporated in the manual 'A' Register, however, in the computerized 'A' Register, the names of the petitioners should be incorporated. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioners gave representations to the first respondent on 02.12.2014 and 06.02.2015, however, the respondents have not passed any order so far.
4.Mr.Era.Premnath, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representations dated 02.12.2014 and 06.02.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks.
5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the second respondent to consider the petitioners' representations dated 02.12.2014 and 06.02.2015 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
