Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing to consider the petitioner appeal representation dated 23.06.2015 within stipulated period and to provide the police protection for the petitioner prayer of God conducting "Koozhvarthal" festival on 23.07.2015 at Sri Ponniamman and Sri Gangaiamman temple in the petitioner village by the respondent .

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

The petitioner would submit that he submitted a representation dated 23.06.2015 to the 1st respondent stating among other things that he want to worship the deities, viz., Sri Ponniamman and Sri Gangaiamman, along with is family and to conduct other ceremonies. In the said representation the petitioner has also expressed the apprehension that there is a law and order problem during the last year, wherein he has executed bond under section 107 Cr.P.C. to keep peace and the said period has already over and it is the Fundamental Right to profess a particular religion and therefore, the petitioner prays for appropriate permission, to conduct ceremonies on 23.07.2015 in the said temple. Since, no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation, directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23. 06.2015 in accordance with law after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders on or before 21.07.2015 and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned. 5.
