ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondent to disburse a sum of Rs.3,52,160/- towards belated settlement of retirement benefits together with interest at 6% per annum.

2.Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent. 3.A direction is issued to the respondent to examine the service register of the petitioner and if he is eligible, pay the said amount together with interest at 6% per annum from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursement. The entire procedure must be completed within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
