Petitions are filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent herein to discharge his statutory duty enjoined by Sec.3
(1) of the Tamilnadu Patta Pass-Book Act, 1983 and Rules made thereunder read with G.O.No.210 Revenue, dt.8.7.2011 and to pass order for issuance of patta with reference to the applications preferred by the petitioner dated 16.08.2012 and 27.08.2012 respectively which applications were acknowledged by the second respondent by RPT No.6449 dated 21.08.2012 in Sl.No.81/2012 and RPT No.6599 dated 27.08.2012 in Sl.No.83/2012 respectively. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that a communication has been sent by the first respondent stating that the applications made by the petitioner have been returned. However, no such applications have been received by the petitioner. 3.
The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that as and when the petitioner submits the applications, the same will be considered and appropriate orders will also be passed.

Considering the above said submissions, the petitioner is directed to send fresh applications to the respondents within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the first respondent shall pass appropriate orders without returning the applications on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner and the third parties, if any, within a period of eight weeks thereafter. It is made clear that if the first respondent wants any particulars, he can always ask the petitioner to produce the same.
