This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in F.I.R.No.242 of 2024 from the file of the second respondent to any other independent investigation agency.

2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, states that the investigation in Crime No.242 of 2024 has already been transferred from the file of the second respondent to the file of the VAC Unit, Puducherry. Now, the investigation is almost completed and is about to file a final report. However, one of the accused is the Deputy Registrar (Admn-Teaching) at Pondicherry University, and as such, the application is still pending for according sanction to prosecute against the second accused.

In view of the above, the Investigating Officer (VAC), Puducherry is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, University of Pondicherry is directed to accord sanction to prosecute against the second accused forthwith. The Superintendent of Police (VAC), Puducherry is directed to monitor the investigation done by the Investigating Officer.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
