Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to modify the order dated 15.04.2021 to deposit amount a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- in Crime No.57/2021 passed in Crl.O.P.No.6384 of 2021 pending on the file of respondent Police.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S. K.RAMKUMAR, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.A.GOPINATH, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- (This case has been heard through video conference) This petitions has been filed to modify the order dated 15.04.2021 to deposit a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- in Crime No.57 of 2021 in Crl.O.P.No.6384 of 2021 dated 15.04.2021.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that due to Covid-19, the petitioners are unable to mobilise funds and prays to reduce the amount imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.6384 of 2021 dated 15.04.2021.

4. On perusal of records it is seen that the petitioners has looted 240 sovereigns of gold hence this Court directs the petitioners to deposit a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- to the credit of crime no.

5. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that the amount imposed by this Court is just and reasonable and no interference is required. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous petition is dismissed. However, he petitioner is granted further period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to deposit a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- to the credit of crime no. -sd/- 18/06/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
