ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to register the complaint of the Petitioner dated 22.04.2022 and investigate the same. 2.The Petitioner earlier filed Crl.OP.No.631 of 2022, seeking direction to provide adequate police protection for electricity department officials, while shifting the high power tension wire from Petitioner's agriculture land to other place. This Court by order dated 28.01.2022, on representation of the Additional Public Prosecutor that the Petitioner's representation is not available, directed the Petitioner to appear before the second Respondent Police therein, along with the copy of the representation and necessary document.

Based on the same the Petitioner sent copy of the same and some of the electricity poles were removed and when it came to the Petitioner's land, the Councillor and Commissioner of the concerned Panchayat demanded bribe. Hence, the Petitioner sent a representation to the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore and the Director of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Chennai. Since no action has been taken, the Petitioner filed the present Petition.

3.Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted a status report of the Regional Director of Municipal Administration, Chengalpattu Region dated 29.06.2022. Based on the report, this Court has directed the Respondent to consider the Petitioner's complaint, without influenced by the status report of the Regional Director of Municipal Administration, Chengalpattu Region. Now the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption has written to the authority concerned, seeking permission under Section 17(A) of the Prevention of Corruption Act to conduct enquiry and thereafter depending upon the enquiry further action would be taken.

4.Recording the above said submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.
