Prayer : The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue an Order in the nature of Writ of Mandamus or any appropriate Writ or Direction directing the 1st respondent to consider the regularization of the petitioner in terms of Memorandum of Settlement dated 10.08.2007 entered U/S.18(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act between the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and the Labour Unions, or in terms of any other schemes framed by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for absorption of Contract Labourers.

The petitioner, who is stated to be working as a contract labourer, made a representation to respondent No.1, to consider his case for regularization in the light of the memorandum of settlement dated 10.08.2007 under Section 18(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act. As the said revision is pending, this present writ petition has been filed.
2.Considering the limited scope of prayer sought in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to send a copy of the representation dated 17.11.2014 along with this order to the first respondent, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate order on the said representation within a period of eight weeks thereafter.
3.The writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
