PRAYER This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2 nd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 06-03-2023 and consequently direct the 2 nd respondent to refix the pensionary benefits based on the representation dated 06-03-2023 and fix the pension based on the last pay drawn at Rs.15,860/- and pay all the attended benefits.

ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 2 nd respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 06-03-2023 and consequently direct the 2 nd respondent to refix the pensionary benefits based on the representation dated 06-03-2023 and fix the pension based on the last pay drawn at Rs.15,860/- and pay all the attended benefits.
2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Gang Coolie at Nellikuppan Municipality on 03.04.1973 and promoted as Bill Collector on 01.09.1977 and regularized as Bill Collector on 09.10.1979 and
retired as Revenue Assistant on 03.04.2010. The further case of the petitioner is that the as per service rules, the pension has to be paid based on the last pay drawn prior to the date of retirement. The petitioner's last pay drawn was Rs.15,860/- but, the respondent fixed the pension unilaterally at the rate of Rs.14,940/-. In order to rectify the same, the petitioner made a representation dated 06.03.2023 to the respondents, but, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the present writ petition. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2023 within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
