Prayer: Petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents for deliberate, willful and wanton disobedience of the orders of this Court dated 16.03.2022 passed in WP.No.26905 of 2021.

ORDER

Alleging that the orders of this Court dated 16.03.2022 in WP.No.26905 of 2021 has not been complied with the petitioner has filed this Contempt Petition.

2. The petitioner had filed WP.No.26905 of 2021 for the following prayer:

"Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to form a special team based on the representation dated 01.10.2021 to investigate into the petitioner's complaints dated 30.09.2019, 26.10.2019, 17.12.2019 and 21.05.2021 after registering the First 2/6

Information Report, arrest the culprit and retrieve the petitioner's stolen properties in accordance with law".

This Court after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Public Prosecutor observed as under: "4.Taking into consideration of the facts and submissions made by the counsels, this Court is of the opinion that it would be suffice to direct the 4th respondent to monitor the investigation conducted by the 5th respondent."

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court directed the 4th respondent to monitor the investigation conducted by the 5th respondent. However, the 4th respondent has not monitored the investigation, thereby a status report has not been filed.

5. Mr. M.V.Ramachandramurthy, Additional Public Prosecutor 3/6

(Puducherry), appearing for the respondents would submit that this Court had directed the 4th respondent to monitor the investigation conducted by the 5th respondent. The 4th respondent has admittedly monitored the investigation and he has also given a report as to the manner in which the investigation has been conducted by the 5th respondent. He would submit that the respondents are at the verge of completing the investigation and as and when the investigation is completed the report will be filed.

6. It is also reported that no time frame has been fixed by this Court to complete the investigation.

7. However, taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner is a 77 years old lady and the 5th respondent is directed to complete the investigation in FIR in Crime No.50 of 2022 and file a report, within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With this observation, the Contempt Petition is closed. No 4/6
