O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a Final Report in Crime No.682 of 2017. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 3.On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.682 of 2017 on 25.12.2017 under Section 294[b], 323 and 506[1] IPC. While so, the wife of the de facto complainant has filed the present petition with the above prayer.

4.Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.682 of 2017, within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a Charge Sheet or a Closure Report as the case may be under due intimation to the de facto complainant, provided there is no any legal impediment.

With the above direction, this petition is closed. Connected Miscellaneous petition is dismissed as not maintainable, in view of the law laid down in PRIVY COUNCIL in King Emperor Vs. Khwaja Nazir Ahmad [(1943-44) 71 IA 203].
