ORDER
Mr.N.Manikandan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2.This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner requesting him to transfer and posting in his native place as Secretary to Thondamanthurai Panchayat. 3.The petitioner submits that when he was working as Panchayat Secretary of Thondamanthurai village panchayat, he was transferred to Kariyanur village panchayat on administrative https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
reason on 19.08.2015. Thereafter, he was asked to discharge additional charge of Thondamanthurai village panchayat. Accordingly, since 24.08.2017, he is holding regular charge as Panchayat Secretary, Kariyanur Panchayat and additional charge of Thondamanthurai panchayat. His representation to the District Collector dated 29.01.2018 indicates that the post of Panchayat Secretary in Thondamanthurai panchayat has fallen vacant and since the said panchayat is his native place, he may be posted there on regular basis.
4.Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that in so far as the transfer within the Block is concerned, the BDO is the competent authority whereas the petitioner made his representation to the District Collector. If any representation is made to the competent authority, his representation will be considered, subject to administrative exigency. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
