The instant writ petition has been filed challenging the memorandum of charge proceedings dated 24.03.2020.

Though the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the charge has been vindictively issued to deny the promotion, it is an admitted fact that after full enquiry, a punishment was imposed against the petitioner vide order dated 24.03.2020. Therefore, nothing survives in this writ petition. 2/4
3. In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is given liberty to challenge the order of punishment dated 24.03.2020 in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected WMP is closed.
