ORDER

The present Contempt Petition is filed seeking to punish the respondents for having committed contempt of Court by disobeying the order passed by this Court dated 30.01.2014 made in W.P.No.18694 of 2022.

2. Through the proceedings of the 1st respondent herein made in Na.Ka.No.2638/c1/2024, dated 11.06.2024, it is seen that the order passed by the Writ Court in W.P.No.18694 of 2022 has been complied with and the service benefits have also been extended to the petitioner. However, insofar as the notional promotion with effect from 06.08.2001 is concerned, it is stated therein that the petitioner would be ineligible for any promotion.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the rejection on this ground is incorrect and the petitioner would be eligible for notional promotion.

4. In view of this disputed fact, it would not be appropriate for this Court to adjudicate the entitlement of the petitioner with regard to the petitioner's claim for notional promotion. However, if liberty is granted to the petitioner to workout her remedies, the ends of justice could be secured.

5.
