W.P.No.1956 of 2015: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner for selection and appointment to the post of B.T.Assistant in History or in Social Sciences in Government High and Higher Secondary Schools and in Panchayat Union Middle Schools in Krishnagiri and Erode District, where Kannada language is taught as medium of instructions and appoint the petitioner as B.T.Assistant in History or in Social Science accordingly as per the weightage marks awarded by the Teachers Recruitment Board, Government of Tamil Nadu for selection to the post of B.T.Assistant in History or in Social Science for the Kannada medium Schools, for the year 2013, with all benefits. COMMON ORDER The petitioners submitted applications for appointment to the post of B.T.Assistant, pursuant to the Notification issued by the Teachers' Recruitment Board. Their applications were against the posts earmarked for Kannada language. The petitioners participated in the written test and thereafter they were called for certificate verification. Even though certificate verification was conducted on 24.1.2014 and 12.06.2014, respectively, and they were given weightage mark for Kannada language, appointment orders were not given. Therefore, the petitioners submitted representations on 28.08.2014 and 11.11.2014, respectively. However, there was no follow up action taken by the respondents, resulting in filing these writ petitions.

2. The respondents 2, 3 and 5 are directed to consider and dispose of the representations submitted by the petitioners on 28.08.2014 and 11.11.2014, on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.The petitioners are directed to forward a copy of representations dated 28.08.2014 and 11.11.2014, along with a copy of this order, so as to enable respondents 2, 3 and 5 to look into the matter and pass appropriate orders on merits.

4. The writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction.
