ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent herein viz the Inspector of Police, G.6, Cheyyur Police Station, Chengalpattu District to alter the FIR in Crime No.75 of 2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police.

3. At the outset, this court is unable to consider the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner and such a direction cannot be granted by this Court. It is for the Investigating officer to take a call on, if cognizable offence is made out and even if the Investigating officer is failed to include appropriate sections, based on the materials available https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

on record, the learned Magistrate, can very well alter the charges as per law.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
