Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to renew the Petitioner Cable T.V. Network License bearing L.C.O. No.34219, considering the representation preferred by the petitioner dated 21.11.2014 within the time frame that may be stipulate by this Honourable Court.

By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner was a registered Cable T.V. Operater and was doing business under the name and style of "Jayaram Cable T.V." The petitioner has also registered his name under the first respondent vide Enrolment Number 34219 and also registered himself with the Post Office who is the public Authority under the Cable T.V. Regulations Net Work Act, 1995 and his registration number is 563. Petitioner has also deposited a sum of Rs.2,000/- towards Security deposit to the second respondent and he has periodically paid his subscription fee to the first respondent. The petitioner would state that on introduction of new technology in the form of set-top box and direct to home connection, he could not run the Cable T.V. business and consequently failed to pay the requisite electricity charges and the service connection to his L.C.O. was disconnected. and six children namely, five girl children and one boy, to educate them and to maintain his family, he wants to revive his old business and accordingly submitted a representation to the second respondent praying for restoration of the licence/ permit to run the Cable T.V. business vide representation dated 21.11.2014 and though it was acknowledged, he has not been favoured with any kind of respondent and hence, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.M.Venkadeshan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.Abdul Saleem, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
4.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the representation made by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.11.2014 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
