Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents, particularly, the third respondent to provide a new electricity service connection to the petitioner's well, situated at Melathur Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, comprised in Survey No.16/7B, for the purpose of irrigation of the petitioner's agricultural lands by waiver of seniority or restore the disconnected Service Connection No.30, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.05.2015.

The petitioner seeks for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents, particularly, the third respondent, to provide a new electricity service connection to the petitioner's well, situated at Melathur Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, comprised in Survey No.16/7B, for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
purpose of irrigation of the petitioner's agricultural lands, by waiver of seniority or restore the disconnected Service Connection No.30, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 11.05.2015.
2. Mr.M.Varunkumar, learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondent Board, submitted that Service Connection No.30 stood in the name of the petitioner's grandfather, and it was disconnected in the year 1990; and, therefore, the question of waiving seniority or restoring the disconnected service does not arise.
3. However, the said fact has not been placed, by way of a counter affidavit, nor has the petitioner been informed of the same. Therefore, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.05.2015; pass a speaking order thereon, and communicate the same to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
