Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to grant permission to conduct cultural program in Sri Mariamman Temple festival scheduled to be held on 07.07.2015 at T.Kalathur Aalathur Taluk Perambalur District by considering petitioner representation dated 29.06.2015.

By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims to be President of Temple festival committee of Sri Mariamman Temple situated at T.Kalathur Aalathur Taluk Perambalur District and he submitted an application dated 29.06.2015 to the second respondent praying for permission to conduct cultural programme which includes song and dance programme to be held on 07.07.2015 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there in that place and prays for appropriate orders.
4.Heard the submissions of Mr.J.Stalin, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 5.This Court without going into the merits of the representation made by the petitioner directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the application/ representation dated 29.06.2015 in accordance with law and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner on or before 06.07.2015. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
