O R D E R
The present Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging non-compliance of the order of this Court passed in Crl.O.P.No.9618 of 2020 dated 29.06.2020.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3. Today, when the Contempt Petition is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent herein has produced and deposited the vehicles which were seized in pursuant to the Crime No.537 of 2020 registered for offences under Sections 379 and 430 IPC r/w 21(1) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 on 24.07.2020 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Villupuram and the same was received in Court property No.145 of 2020.
4. Since the order of this Court had been complied with by the respondents, nothing further survives for consideration in this Contempt Petition, which is accordingly closed.
5. However, in the petition, the petitioner himself admits that he gave a sum of Rs.5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) to the respondent police as bribe. Hence the Deputy Commissioner for Vigilance and Anti-corruption is directed to take appropriate action as against the petitioner as well as the erring official.
