PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records pertaining to the Memo No.257/BCDFGISSSV/2024 dated 26.03.2024 and quash the same and further direct the respondents to produce the detenue namely V.Preetha, Female, aged about 50 years, D/o.Venkatachalam is now confined at Central Prison-3, Special Prison for Women, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set her at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.2642, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 03.05.2024, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
