Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of habeas corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 27.03.2019 in Memo No.154/BCDFGISSSV/2019 against the petitioner's son in law Stalin, son of Simon, aged about 41 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo No.154/BCDFGISSSV/2019 dated 27.03.2019, detaining her son-in-law as "Drug Offender", as contemplated under Section 2 (e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its proceedings in G.O.Rt.No.1747 Home Prohibition & Excise (X) Department dated 20.05.2019 and he has also produced a copy of the said proceedings. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
