The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings of show cause notice dated 02.06.2017 of the 1st respondent and to quash the same and to consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant renewal of Public Resort Licence under the Chennai City Police Act, 1886 forthwith to the petitioner to conduct Indian Cultural Dance programmes in the premises of Hotel Shurudhi Palace, Old No.79, New No.151, General Patters Road, Anna Salai, Chennai - 600 002.

2.Heard Mr.AR.L.Sundaresan, learned senior counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.After making elaborate submissions, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner sought the permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition and sought ten days time for giving explanation to the show cause notice dated 02.06.2017 issued by the 1st respondent. The learned counsel on record also made an endorsement to that effect. 4.In view of the same, the Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn.

5.The petitioner is granted ten days time from today for giving explanation to the show cause notice dated 02.06.2017. On receipt of the explanation from the petitioner, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
