Prayer in CS.No.150 of 2016 : Civil Suit filed under Order IV Rule 1 of O.S. Rules read with Order VII Rule 1 of the Civil Procedure Code praying for a judgment and decree against the defendants for the following reliefs- a) grant Mandatory direction appointing a Committee of a retired Judge of a High Court to take over and manage the affairs of the 1st defendant and to scrutinize the memberships of the 1st defendant society by eliminating the bogus members and by considering and deciding on the applications for membership pending with the 1st defendant till the revival of the elected body for the 1st defendant in accordance with its Bye-laws; b) grant permanent injunction restraining the defendants 2 to 4 and 6 to 14 from in any way dealing with or managing the affairs of the 1st defendant Press Club.

Prayer in CS.No.132.2016:

a) declaring the Election Notice dated 24.02.2016 issued by the 2nd defendant as illegal and ab initio void b) Grant an order of permanent injunction restrainng the defendants 2 to 13 from in any way conducting elections to the post of President, VicePresidents, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and Members of the Management Committee of the 1st defendant either pursuant to the Election Notice dated 24.02.2016issued by the 2nd defendant or otherwise c) to pay the costs of the suit.

2. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the plaintiff, these Civil Suits are dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected application is closed. No costs.
