ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Nalliyappan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran,learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the respondents to provide new ration card to the petitioner by considering his application dated 22.10.2010 registered in Application No.2228 of 2010 within a stipulated time.

3. According to the petitioner, before his marriage, he was living with his parents and now after the marriage, he has shifted his residence to Chinna Salem Taluk and has applied for a fresh https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

ration card enclosing the necessary details along with a copy of his marriage invitation. The said application is pending before the second respondent. Hence, the present writ petition.

In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the second respondent, to consider the petitioner's application dated 22.10.2010 for issuance of fresh ration card and issue the same, if it is in accordance with law. The above direction shall be complied with by the second respondent within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
