The prayer sought for herein is to enlarge or extend the time by a period of six months for the Hon'ble Arbitral Tribunal, comprising of the second, third and fourth respondents, for conducting arbitration and to make the Arbitral Award.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicant.

3. The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal consisting of three Arbitrators, though was extended subsequently by mutual consent of both parties, the term expires on 02.05.2019. Within the said period, according to the learned counsel appearing for the applicant, the arbitration proceedings has almost concluded, the award has been reserved by the Arbitral Tribunal.

The learned counsel would further contend that, since the documents have to be perused by the Arbitral Tribunal which runs more than seven thousand pages, being voluminousness work, to complete the same and to deliver the award, the Arbitral Tribunal requested six months time and if it is extended for a further period of six months, within which, the Arbitration proceedings can be completed.

5. Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the applicant, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

"That the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal which expires on 02.05.2019 is hereby extended for a further period of six months, within which period, it is expected that the arbitration proceedings would be concluded and final award would be passed."
