The prayer sought for herein is to extend the time for making the award by twelve months from 14.04.2019.

The learned counsel appearing for both sides submitted that, from 14.10.2017 till 14.10.2018, one year statutory period was over, thereafter by mutual consent, six months extension was given, which is expiring on 14.04.2019 within which period, the arbitration proceedings has reached the stage of examination of witnesses and therefore according to the learned counsel for both sides, it will take another Eight months to one year to complete the arbitration proceedings.

3. Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides, this Court is inclined to extend the mandate of the Arbitral tribunal for the further period of eight months from 14.04.2019, within which period, it is expected that the arbitration proceedings would be concluded and final award would be passed.
