Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 1st respondent order in G.O.Ms.No.49/Public works (T-1) dated 28th January, 2000 published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 1.3.2000 and quash the same thereby forbearing the respondents from acquiring the lands of the petitioner for formation of reservoir across Andiyappanur Odai, Vellore District.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the award is not passed and therefore, this petitioner may be permitted to participate in the award enquiry in the light of the new Act and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
