O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The excess urban land declared under the Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978, which formed the subject matter of the present petition, is stated to have been transferred in favour of some third party for consideration and the case of the 4th and 5th respondents canvassed before us is that they have nothing to do with the land in question and denied the allegations made in the petition. 2.As to whether the land was transferred in accordance with law, what use can it be put to, keeping in mind that it was originally excess land, etc. are all matters which will have to be dealt with by the respondent authorities in accordance with law.

We expect the authorities to adhere to the regulations in this behalf and scrutinise the matter, as it appears to have remained unattended for the last number of years, no counter having been filed. 3.Writ Petition is closed with the aforesaid direction.
