Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2014 and pass appropriate orders for permanent absorption of the petitioner in the Salem District Central Cooperative Bank, Salem, by extending the benefits of G.O.(D) No.173, dated 31.07.2013, and as per Rule 149 (2) of the T.N.Act-Cooperative Societies Rules, 1988, to the petitioner.

O R D E R

It is well settled that Writ Petitions against Co-operative Societies are not maintainable, in view of the Larger Bench decision of this Court in K.Marappan v. The Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Namakkal, reported in 2006 (4) CTC 689.

2. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, this order does not preclude the writ petitioner from approaching the revisional authority or any other authority, seeking the relief in accordance with law. No costs.
