By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner would state that it was established in the year 2006 by "Thiru S.sengoda Gounder Educational and Chritable Trust" after obtaining necessary approval/ recognition/ affiliation from the appropriate authorities namely the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Anna University, initially it was started with total intake of 240 seats and subsequently gained popularity on the quality of education imparted to the students and AICTE as well as the Anna University has granted approval/ affiliation for starting new courses and additional intake.

3.It is further stated by the petitioner that it was also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in respect of four courses namely, B.E. (Computer Science Engineering), B.E. (Electronics and Communication Engineering), B.E. (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and B.Tech (Information Technology). The petitioner submitted an application for starting a new course namely, B.E. (Agricultural Engineering) for the academic year 2015-2016 to the AICTE and the AICTE vide proceedings dated 23.04.2015 has granted approval for the said course with annual intake of 120 seats. The petitioner thereafter, submitted an application dated 13.05.

2015 to the respondent University through online and counselling is being conducted for filling up the seats for the academic year 2015-2016 and the petitioner to its shock and surprise has noted that in the website, in the list of courses available in the petitioner institution the new course namely, B.E. (Agricultural Engineering) was not included. In this regard, the petitioner has also approached the respondent seeking grant of affiliation for the said additional course and since it has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

4.The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted its application dated 13.05.2015 for grant of affiliation with necessary documents for the new course namely, B.E. (Agricultural Engineering) for the academic year 2015-2016 and would further submit that the petitioner is imparting quality education to the students who are mainly ailing from rural areas, the respondent did not consider the application and pass orders and inview of the urgency, it is constrained to approach this Court and prays for appropriate orders.

5.Heard the submissions of Mr.L.P.Shanmuga Sundaram, learned Standing Counsel who accepts notice for the respondent. 6.This Court without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 13.05.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
