Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conclude the enquiry which has already commenced and to transfer the patta into the petitioner name considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2016 within a reasonable time.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims that she is in enjoyment of her ancestral property in Survey Nos.158/A and 158/1B, admeasuring to an extent of 0.32 cents each and doing agricultural operations and during the land improvement scheme, the name of the petitioner has been changed by mistake and in this regard, the petitioner had submitted a representation, for which the office of the 3rd respondent has also issued summons for conducting an enquiry and the 3rd respondent, in turn, has directed the Revenue Inspector of Tiruporur, to conduct the enquiry and submit a report and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 4th respondent to submit his report to the 3rd respondent within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the 3rd respondent, on receipt of such report from the 4th respondent, is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a further period of six weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
