Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing respondents 1 and 2 to approve the petitioner appointment in the post of Mechanic (Grade I) in the fourth respondent Nesamony Memorial Christian College in the sanctioned retirement vacancy of Mr.C.Mani with effect from 02.05.2008 in the light of approval given by the Government of Tamil Nadu and third respondent to the similarly placed persons like Mr.S.Sivasubramanian and Mr.Andro Vallan and whose appointments were approved by the Government first and third respondents vide Government Order (ID) No.22, Higher Education (D1) Department, dated 07.02.2011, and Na.Ka.No.08627/003, dated 23.09.2013, with all monetary, service and all other benefits for the said period.

The petitioner was absorbed in the post of Mechanic (Grade-I) in the fourth respondent minority aided educational institution. A representation, dated 16.05.2015, was sent by the petitioner to the second respondent, seeking to approve the appointment of the petitioner in the light of the approval of appointment made in the case of one S.Sivasubramanian and Mr.Andro Vallan based on Government Order (ID) No.22, Higher Education (D1) Department, dated 07.02.2011, and Na.Ka.No.08627/003, dated 23.09.2013, of the first and the third respondents respectively.
2. In view of the narrow prayer made during the hearing of the Writ Petition for a direction to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.05.2015, in the light of the aforesaid G.O.22, dated 07.02.2011, of the first respondent, and the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.08627/003, dated 23.09.2013, of the third respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
