Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to fix the guideline value in a square feet of the petitioner's agricultural land measuring to an extent of acre 3.43 cents comprised in Survey No.296 at Modikuppam Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 18.02.2019. Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the first respondent. Mr.P.P.Purushothaman, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 2 & 3. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 18.02.2019, wherein and whereby, he sought for fixation of guideline value in respect of the land measuring to an extent of acre 3.43 cents comprised in Survey No.296 at Modikuppam Village, Gudiyatham Taluk, Vellore District

3. It is seen that by way of reply dated 27.02.2019, the second respondent informed the petitioner's counsel that the fixation of guideline value has to be done only after making inspection by the concerned Officials and thereafter, a report should be sent to the District Committee with recommendation. It is stated that only the District Committee alone has to consider the request of the petitioner. Since the petitioner has already made a request for fixation of the guideline value, the respondents are directed to pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after doing all the exercise, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
