ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This suo motu contempt proceedings has been initiated by the High Court against the respondent/contemnor for not depositing the cost of Rs.5,000/- imposed on him while dismissing the writ petition on 17.02.2022.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the contemnor submitted that due to bonafide reason, the cost of Rs.5,000/- imposed by this Court has not been deposited earlier, but would be deposited today and direction for accepting the cost may be given to the office of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Service Authority, as the Tamil Nadu State Legal Service Authority is not accepting the cost after the expiry of time.

3. In view of the above, the Tamil Nadu State Legal Service Authority is directed to accept the cost and issue receipt for the same to the contemnor. If the contemnor produces the receipt during the course of the day, the suo motu contempt petition is ordered to be closed, otherwise, be listed on 27.06.2022.
