Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the enquiry in proceedings in Summons No.Na.Ka.987/2020/A3 dated 14.03.2020 within a period of one week and consequently, to direct the respondents to allow the petitioner to open Sri Ellaimman Temple, Athivakkam. 2. Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. This writ petition is filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the enquiry in proceedings in Summons No.Na.Ka.987/2020/A3 dated 14.03.2020 within a period of one week and consequently, to direct the respondents to allow the petitioner to open Sri Ellaimman Temple, Athivakkam.
4. It appears that the enquiry proceedings is pending before the first respondent in respect of functioning of the petitioner temple and the grievance of the petitioner is that though the summons were issued to conduct enquiry in the month of March 2020, the first respondent has not completed the enquiry so far.
5. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, based on instructions, submitted that the first respondent would complete the enquiry proceedings and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
6. Considering the above stated facts and circumstances and without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of only by directing the first respondent to complete the enquiry proceedings and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
