ORDER

Petitioner has filed this writ petition, seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the first respondent to forthwith consider and pass orders on his renewal applications dated 05.03.2006 and 20.06.2014 for the period from 08.05.2006 to 07.05.2011 and 08.05.2011 to 07.05.2016 respectively in respect of the vehicle bearing Regn. No.TDA 192 plying on the route Thudiyalur to Perur Sathya Colony.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.Though the petitioner sought for renewal of stage carriage permit in respect of two periods viz., from 08.05.2006 to 07.05.2011 and 08.05.2011 to 07.05.2016, admittedly, the period from 08.05.2006 to 07.05.2011 is already over. According to the petitioner, the application for renewal of permit for the period from 08.05.2011 to 07.05.2016 is pending.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the application for renewal of permit for the period from 08.05.2011 to 07.05.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
