[ RESPONDENTS ] Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the Respondents to disburse pension and other pensionary benefits admissible to the petitioner.

With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.The petitioner retired from service as Pipe Line Fitter, Grade II in Vadavasi Municipality on 31.10.2014. The grievance of the petitioner is that though no disciplinary proceedings or criminal case was pending against him and he was permitted to retire from service, till date his terminal benefits are not settled. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.05.2015 to the respondents, for taking appropriate action.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the prayer in the writ petition was widely worded, the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 04.05.2015, within a stipulated period. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into account the

facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 04.05.2015, and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
