This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner in the pretext of enquiry.
2. Heard Mr.M.Sivavarthanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that Police is repeatedly issuing summons to be present for enquiry.

4. After hearing the arguments advanced on either side, this Court is of the view that once summons or notice is issued, the petitioner should cooperate to the Police for the purpose of investigation.
5. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. The respondent Police is directed to issue fresh summons, to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such summons, the petitioner shall appear before the respondent Police for enquiry. If the investigation reveals any cognisable offence is made out, it is for the respondent Police to take a call, as per law. Such enquiry to be completed within two weeks from the date of receipt of the order.
