O R D E R

Since the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2018 seeking for rectification of the anomalies in the pension fixation was not disposed of within a reasonable time, the present Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to consider the said representation.

2. It is needless to point out that the representation of the petitioner is addressed to the statutory authority and the authority is duty bound to consider the same and pass appropriate orders in either way, without keeping the representation pending inadvertently and such an act would amount to dereliction of duty and this Court would be justified in invoking its jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

3. In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.04.2018 as expeditiously as possible and pass appropriate orders. Since the petitioner is a pensioner, the respondent is expected to dispose of the said representation atleast https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
