ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 01.03.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of IPC in Crime No.308 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other co-accused especially A1, who is his son collected the amount to the tune of Rs.3.29 Crores from the several job seekers. The petitioner is an employee of Anna University and in that capacity, along with A1, said to have collected money through agents who are the other accused in this case, on the promise of securing jobs in Anna University, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and other Government Organizations and thus collected Rs.3.29 Crores. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected in this case and he is in judicial custody from 01.03.2021. Hence, he seeks to grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor strongly opposed this petition on the ground that the innocent job seekers were cheated to the tune of Rs.3.29 Crores.

5. Taking note of the fact that the allegations against this petitioner that he is the prime accused in this case and the amount said to have been cheated is to the tune of Rs.3.29 Crores, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
