ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 468 and 471 of IPC in Crime No.221 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused, had conducted interview on the pretext of providing Government job at Collectorate office and collected amount from the defacto complainant and others to the tune of Rs.4,50,000/- and also issued fake appointment orders and thereby cheated them. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. On instruction, he would further submit that without prejudice to his defence, the petitioner is prepared to deposit considerable amount to any charitable Organization or Association. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner along with other accused, has conducted interview on the pretext of providing Government job at Collectorate office and collected money from the defacto complainant and others to the tune of Rs.4,50,000/-. Further, he has also issued fake appointment orders and thereby cheated them. He would further submit that the petitioner has two more cases to his credit. As per the allegation in FIR No.222 of 2020, the petitioner has cheated an amount of Rs.4,00,000/- and in FIR No.223 of 2020, he had cheated an amount of Rs.5,00,000/-. Further he would submit that co-accused in this case had already filed anticipatory bail application in Crl.O.P.No.9369 of 2020 and the same was dismissed. Hence he vehemently opposed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into account, the nature of offence and the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
