V.Govindaraj .. Respondent /Plaintiff This case came up for settlement before Lok Adalat. The learned counsel for the Appellants Mr.K.Seetha Raman for Mr.R.Thiagarajan and the learned counsel for the Respondent Mr.S.Ravichandran are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The first appellant C.Jagadeesan, and second appellant J.Jayachandra pappa, and her counsel are present. The second appellant represented her husband / third appellant. Respondent V.Govindaraj and her counsel are present.

2. After due deliberation and negotiation, the appellants entered into a compromise and the compromise memo is filed and signed by both parties and their counsel. In terms of the compromise memo, reads as follows:

1) The Appellants and the Respondent herein by mutual agreement prayed that a compromise decree may be passed in the above appeal as hereunder:- "that the Appellant shall pay a sum of Rs.7,50,000 /- (Rupees seven lakhs and fifty thousand only) Without any interest in full and final settlement of the claim of the respondent. Time for payment may be granted by six months. Upon such payment of money, the respondent shall hand over the sale deed dated 08.04.1982 and 11.02.1987 to the 2nd appellant herein."

In the event, the appellants failed to pay the money, the respondent is at liberty to proceed as against the appellant for recovery of the aforesaid sum with future interest at 12% per annum after the period of six months from today.

3. In view of the compromise memo, this appeal is disposed of accordingly. The Compromise memo shall form part of the award. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Sd/-

manner provided under the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 21 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
