By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner claims that he served in Indian Army and was discharged from Army Supply Corps with effect from 09.05.1995 and settled at Surampatti village, Erode District. The petitioner submitted a representation for assignment of five acres of land under the provisions of Ex-Servicemen Welfare Scheme and accordingly, he was allotted land in Land Survey No.169/3 [old S.No.169/2] in the very same village. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though he had put up a superstructure and it has been assessed to statutory levies, he is yet to be issued with patta and very many https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
representations submitted to the 3rd respondent and to the higher officials failed to invoke any kind of response and hence, he is constrained to file this writ petition.
Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.03.2016 on merits and in accordance with law,and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
