The petitioner was running a saw mill before 2002. After Tamil Nadu Regulation of Wood Based Industries Rules 2010, came into force, the saw mill was closed and power supply was disconnected. Therefore, the petitioner made an application on 26.04.2012 for licence to run the Saw Mill / Plywood and Wood Based Industries. So far, no orders have been passed on the said application. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation, dated 13.04.2016 to the respondents https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
seeking to pass appropriate order. Since no order has been passed on the said application, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. Heard Mr.R.Sivakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Government Advocate (Forest) appearing for the respondents.
3. Though it is stated that the petitioner has made an application on as early as on 26.04.2012 and submitted a representation on 13.04.2016, there is no proof for having sent the representation, dated 13.04.2016 either by filing receipt or acknowledgement.
4. In view of that, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the same as per law, within a period of six weeks thereafter.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
