Petitioner has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the Respondents herein to disburse his retirement benefits, arrears, leave salary and retirement gratuity by considering his representation dated 28.02.2020.

According to the Petitioner, he retired from the services of the 2nd Respondent/Salem Municipal Corporation on 30.04.2019. Seeking disbursal of his retirement benefits, the Petitioner made a representation to the 2nd Respondent on 07.02.2020 and on 28.02.2020. As no action is taken by the Respondents to settle his terminal benefits, the Petitioner is before this Court by way of the present Writ Petition.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 2nd Respondent herein to afford an opportunity of personal hearing to the Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and pass appropriate orders on the Petitioner's representation in accordance with law, two months thereafter.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
